Prof. Jin Yongxing Met with Delegates from the Japanese Seafarers Group

 
On February 22, Prof. Jin Yongxing met with a delegation from Hato-kai, the Japanese Seafarers Group at Shanghai Maritime University. 
 
Prof. Jin Yongxing welcomed Mr. Chikamori Shio, Vice Chair of the Japanese Seafarers Group and his delegation, and he spoke highly of the years of work and contribution to highlight seafarers’ life at sea through their high quality photo exhibitions. Prof. Jin expressed his appreciations to the Japanese Seafarers Group for their long-term collaborative relationship with IMLA. 
 
Mr. Chikamori Shio thanked for the strong support and assistance that IMLA has generously offered to host photo exhibitions at the venues of IMLA conferences in the last 8 years including Shanghai, Accra, Opatija, Terschelling, Jimei and Galveston. He hoped to see diverse forms of communication and cooperation by both sides in the future.
 
The Japanese Seafarers Group has organized many photographic exhibitions themed on seafarers’ life at sea, showing seafarers' working situation and living environment, and propagating world peace and wellbeing of human being. Their photo exhibitions are regularly held at the headquarter of IMO and other places around the world in the past 30 years.
