Cadets Exchanges between Shanghai Maritime University and Nevelskoy Maritime State University
The onboard training of cadets of the Nevelskoy Maritime State University is going on. On June 15 cadets and faculty of Shanghai Maritime University were guests of the Nevelskoy MSU cadets onboard the training ship "Nevelskoy".
Chinese guys saw work with sails, toured the ship and learned to tie knots. Vice-Rector for international activities Yuri G. Zhuravel told the guests about Vladivostok and the Maritime University.
A traditional marine competition - a tug of war took place on deck between the Chinese and Russian teams.
After lunch cadets from the Maritime College and the Maritime Technological College went on a visit to the Shanghai Maritime University.
Prof. Shixin, Vice President of Shanghai Maritime University, and Dr. Segei Ogai, Rector of Maritime State Unviersity spoke on behalf of the two universities. Signing of the renewed Cooperation Agreement (MOU) between the Nevelskoy Maritime State University and Shanghai Maritime University became the first and, perhaps, the most important event of the visit.
After the meeting, cadets of MSU visited the labs and teaching facilities at Shanghai Maritime University, and they played a friendly football match with the faculty team of SMU.
