Call for Proposals to STW 44
Dear Members:
The Sub-committee on Standards of Training and Watchkeeping (STW) - 44th session of IMO will be held at IMO Headquarters, 4 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7SR from Monday, 29 April to 3 May, 2012. IMLA is invited as one of the Non-governmental organizations with IMO, especially with such a Sub-committee relating to specifically and closely the sphere of seafarer training.
Members of IMLA are hereby invited to submit proposals to this conference and further encouraged to utilize and focus upon the advantages and features of the IMLA and its members.
Submissions should be based on the following topics as indicated by the PROVISIONAL AGENDA of STW 44 as attached. Submission papers for reference purposes can be approached through relevant governmental administrations in individual member states of IMO. The dates for submission are as follows:
a． documents (including information documents) containing more than 6 pages of text (bulky documents) by Friday, 25 January 2013;
b． non-bulky documents (including information documents) and bulky information documents, if submitted in electronic format, by Friday, 22 February 2013; and
c． documents containing 4 pages or less, commenting on those referred to in subparagraphs (a) and (b) above, by Friday, 8 March 2013.
The proposals, comments and information from the members of IMLA are in such circumstances are requested to submit to Ms Wang Yingming (imla@shmtu.edu.cn) one week before the above corresponding dates，so that final submissions can be evaluated by specialists and submitted to STW before the deadline through the secretariat of this organization.
