IMLA Chair Jin Yongxing Met with IMO Secretary General during the 30th Session of IMO Assembly

The 30th Session of IMO Assembly held from Monday, 27 November to Wednesday, 6 December 2017 at IMO headquarters in London. IMLA Chair Prof Jin Yongxing met IMO Secretary General Mr Kitack Lim and briefed to him on IMLA’s latest progress and working plans in the coming year as an non-governmental organization in Consultative Status with IMO.

IMLA was also represented by Honorary Secretary Prof. Clive Cole and IMLA Secretariat Coordinator Ms Yingming Wang at the Assembly. A meeting was arranged for an internal discussions on IMLA issues including the prepare-up for the Association’s conferences and events in 2018.

The 30th Session of Assembly was the largest-ever gathering at IMO Headquarters in London, attended by some 1,400 participants, including 56 at the ministerial level, from 165 Member States, as well as observers from inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations.
